FEBRUARY 9, 2004 NEWS:
Weve been under a forced radar here on the web. As usual the technological powers that be have fukked with us and we havent been able to update this thing for months. we should just all go back to rubbing 2 sticks together anyway...but were back! weve been laying low..writing new songs and working on side projects and whatnot. jim brown has been playing in holoi. bryan brown has been writing and recording for syd brown, paul fig has been busy recording bands and i've been busy working on my label coldsweat (www.coldsweat.org). weve also been looking for a new rehearsal space! we do have a new EP coming out this spring as weve spoken of previously 'FALLING BACK TO EARTH' EP. Its got an amazing video on it as well-shot on 35mm in the Joshua Tree desert.. The U.S. release date is: MARCH 3RD 2004.
The vinyl is out now on limited edition clear with silk screen on SATELLITE CITY RECORDS. Get this shit now cuz its going fast. www.satellite-city.org No Fucking Joke!!
IVE POSTED SOME PHOTOS in the 'SIGHT AND SOUND section so check em out, as well as updates in the RANT and BIO sections. We'll be taking a break (actually were on it!) on playing live for a bit as we really want to concentrate on the writing and recording process. Ill be posting photos, journals and maybe some demo MP3s soon. As the ball rolls!

Sept. 13th 2003
Bluebird hits the east coast for some shows next month, including 2 DIM MAK showcases in NYC and Brooklyn. Tour dates will be posted very soon. The finishing touches are being made for the release of the FALLING BACK TO EARTH (U.S.) release including limited edition vinyl and video. more soon on that too. The YOUVE GOT YOUR ORDERS comp. has been released on Chrome Peeler Records and features Bluebird as well as other great bands and artists like: Mark Arm of Mudhoney, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, Hella, House Of Low Culture, Nels Kline, Mike Watt and many others. Go get it.

BLACK PRESENCE has been re-pressed with some newish artwork, the lettering is now white so you can see the song titles. Looks like the gold lettering will now be collectible, since it will never be pressed again. Go get either.

Bluebird shirts have been popping up in various media publications latley. One was sighted on a member of Vendetta Red in a recent issue of Blender, and another on a member of the Texas band Siva in the latest issue of Fader. As well as on MTV host Ian Robinson (the only good thing about MTV). thanks for the free advertising!!!

We'd like to tip our hats to the memory of ' the man in black ' Johnny Cash who died yesterday at the age of 71. You'll be missed.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Troubadour show. It was a fun. All the bands sounded amazing.
Well be back on stage on the 30th of August at Spaceland in Silverlake with MUDHONEY.
Looks like the "FALLING BACK TO EARTH" EP for the USA on Dim Mak has an official release date of Nov 4th 2003.
Bluebird plans to hit the road in the USA in October with new Dim Mak band LION FEVER (mem. of Lost Kids/VSS/Pleasure Forever) supporting.
Plans to head back over-seas are in the works.

the website is finally back thanks to JIM ROTA. Without his help you wouldnt be reading this right now. A lot has happened since the website BLEW UP and scattered into peices! We put out a new ep and toured the UK, Europe and Japan. We had amazing times and great shows. read more about the tours in the 'rant' section (which will be updated regularly).

The new Bluebird 'falling back to earth' ep is available in the UK/Europe (sweet nothing) and Japan (sparkmusiq). It's been getting rave reviews, 5 'k's in Kerrang!!
The U.S release date is October 21st. 2003 on DIM MAK. dimmak.com

We are currently writing and rehearsing new songs. We have 2 shows in August here in Los Angeles (see shows section). We'll be back on the road in the fall.
